Content Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective September 2, 2026

Cardium is a place to show, price and talk about graded collectibles. This policy says what you can post, what gets a second look from a person, and what we remove. It is part of the Terms of Service.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to everything you publish on Cardium that other people can see:

  • Posts and replies in the feed, including any images attached to them.
  • Your profile: display name, handle, bio and showcase.
  • Business profiles: name, bio, hours, contact details and posts made as a shop.
  • Hashtags, custom feed names and anything else shown under your name.

Private tools — your collection, wishlist, scans and dealer desk records — are yours and are not reviewed under this policy unless you publish them.

What's allowed

Normal collector life. Show your pulls and your slabs, ask what something is worth, post a cleared price with its source, list what you are selling or trading, disagree about a grade, run your shop's feed, and talk about the hobby. Criticism of a dealer, a grader or a price is fine when it is about the conduct or the card, not the person.

Everything below describes the exceptions. If a post is not in one of these categories, it is allowed.

Reviewed by a person

Content in these categories is flagged for a person on the Cardium team to look at. It stays visible while it is in the queue. The reviewer either leaves it alone, removes it, or — for repeat or serious cases — takes action on the account. Because this is a price-intelligence product, market abuse gets the same attention as the usual community categories.

Removed outright

Content in these categories is removed as soon as it is detected — by our automated review where that is enabled for the category, otherwise by staff — without waiting for a review first. You are always told which category applied and can appeal. Some of these categories also lead to an immediate account suspension and, where the law requires it, a report to the relevant authorities.

How enforcement works

Category typeWhat happens to the contentWhat happens to the account
AllowedNothing.Nothing.
Reviewed by a personReviewed by a person; stays visible meanwhile.Repeated removals lead to a warning, then suspension.
Removed outrightRemoved — automatically or by staff; you can appeal.Repeated removals lead to suspension. Child safety, doxxing with intent to harm, and illegal goods can lead to immediate suspension on a first offence.

A removed post disappears from every public view. You can still see it — with the category that applied — from your account settings. Account actions are always taken by a person, never automatically.

Automated review

When you publish a post, its text and any attached images are reviewed automatically by an AI model, provided by Anthropic, against the categories on this page. The model does not make account decisions. For the categories listed under Reviewed by a person, it can only add a post to the review queue. For the categories under Removed outright, it can remove a post only when we have switched that on for the category and it is highly confident; otherwise the post goes to the queue like any other.

Every automated decision is recorded alongside the reviewer's eventual decision, and we use those records to check how accurate the model is. How this processing works and what we keep is described in the Privacy Policy.

Appeals

If your post is removed, you can contest it once from your account settings, with a short statement if you want to add one. A person on the Cardium team — never the automated review — reads the post, the reason it was removed and your statement, and either upholds the removal or restores the post. You are notified either way. Appeals are read in the order they arrive.

Reporting content

Anyone with an account can report a post or a profile from its menu. Pick the closest reason and, if it helps, add a note. Reports go to the same review queue and are handled by a person. Reporting is limited to a reasonable number per day so the queue stays useful; if you need to reach us about something urgent, contact support through the address in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

This is version 1.0. When we change the categories or how enforcement works, we publish a new version with a new effective date and note it in the changelog. Decisions are made under the version in effect when the content was published.
